I enrolled in the Dental Hygiene Bachelor Program at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2003 and graduated as an honors student in 2005. I am very thankful for my two beautiful children and my caring husband who supported me through those tough years. I consider myself very lucky to be a member of Dr. Guel's dental team and to have such wonderful co-workers. I am also thankful for our great patients.
I never knew being a dental hygienist involves much more than providing clinical treatment; it's also about caring, giving, learning and developing friendships. My goal is to keep my knowledge fully up-to-date so that I'll always be able to provide the best services to my patients and improve their oral health. After all, that's what they truly deserve. |

Barbara Losoya - Registered Dental Hygienist
After accepting a job from my dentist as a Business Assistant in 1999, I fell in love with dentistry. I knew that this was my calling and pursued my education as a dental Hygienist. Through the support and love of my family, I am now doing what I love.
I am a 2006 graduate from The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. As a member of Dr. Guel's team, it is my goal to be an oral health educator and a clinician who provides preventative, educational and therapeutic services supporting our patient's total health, for the control of oral diseases and to promote oral health. Who would have thought that it actually takes more than two minutes? |
